Just a friendly correction - 1031/86 was NOT garcia's first show after his coma. I know because I was there. His combeack show was oct. 4th at The Stone, a small club in the city he played at quite frequently in the '80's, the golden era way before touch of grey came out.

Thank you TeaBag69 (awkward????), it definitely wasn't Jerry's first post-coma solo show. ou are absolutely right about the Stone being the venue... Specifically, October 4th. And, what makes it so special to me is this was also the first ever performance of 'Forever Young'. Obviously not a coincidence. I have an audience of the show... doesn't sound great but it is super special and sounds phenom every time!! (~);}

I was there as well! But I'm not sure the date is right (I can't remember last week let alone 25 years ago with any specificity). This supposedly lists his shows by year for JGB:

I saw a bunch of shows at Stone in early to mid 80s. 84 August shows come to mind. One time saw JGB and a few nights later saw Voivod open for Soundgarden open for ... Danzig. A bit of a contrast. Vesuvios and Specs and the Stone.

correct....
just the same...it was a very fun and memorable show and great to see Jerry back on stage in a "formal" sense..
I remember "discovering" the upstairs convention proscenium stage on level 3 (4,5?) Upstage Left corner...where they were serving peach daiquiries (only?) and music was piped in with complete PA on the stage where Dracula and Frankenstein were playing table tennis set up there...very cool room up there!
